Fifty-seven Years Ago: Today in History

The March on Washington happened on this day 57 years ago but the fight for racial and economic equality continues on. We know that inequities continue to exist but we have an opportunity to re-examine our own individual biases and understand how institutions and policies have contributed to racial inequality.

In this OpEd, civil rights activist Lamell McMorris writes that “if you care about racial equality, the homeownership gap and segregation of our neighborhoods should greatly disturb you.”
